In her exhibit, called End Times, Jill Greenberg showed different photos of infants and toddlers crying and throwing tantrums. How far would she have to go in order to get the perfect shot? One photography enthusiast revealed Greenberg’s rather sadistic way of inducing her subjects to cry – she gives them lollipop and then suddenly takes it away. Once the story was revealed, many condemned Greenberg’s methods – especially the parents of the young models.

First, boil the water and is boiled, place it a container. Then we add copper sulphate to our still hot water, and we keep on adding it and stirring until it dissolves. We pour our solution (which should be dark blue) into the container we intend to grow our crystals in. Make sure that copper sulphate which has not dissolved stays in the first container, you can use filter paper, or just be careful during pouring solution. Take your crystals out when you feel they are ready (or until they start to touch water level). Finally, make sure to clean (do not use water, it will dissolve them) and dry them.

I’ve been collecting memories since I was very young. This is something I highly recommend—collect memories like a street cleaner collects garbage. Every now and then you’ll find an extra nice cigarette butt that you can keep in your pocket instead of throwing it in the plastic bag. Then one day when your hand reaches for that cigarette butt you’ll find that it has turned into a little diamond.

I really hope my work appeals to a wide audience. Most e-mails from strangers are design students asking for advice and such, but every now and then I get a note from a 45 plus mom digging what I do, and I love that range. I’m very keen on getting to know the people who like what I do—being a freelancer does get a little lonely from time to time, you know.

I believe in two-way communication, and often try to involve the viewer in my design. Even if a picture is simple and flat I want there to be more to discover if you just take the time to study it a little closer.

What Does Love Smell Like?

One of the benefits from working with current events (political/social/environmental matters etc.) is that you learn a lot and get a feeling of being part of a universal society. I enjoy the variation of working on commissions where I am the middleman between a sender and a receiver and personal, sometimes silly projects for the sake of the fun only.

Viktoria Modesta Moskalova, a singer, songwriter and performing artist, says that three years after her leg amputation, she saw “an opportunity to regard the leg as a fashion item and an art project, which seemed rather fun and exciting.” “The first time a wore a limb that was so obviously BIONIC, it gave me a total sense of uniqueness and feeling of mutant human in the best way possible,” says Viktoria.
