Laser Rainbow to Commemorate Hurricane Sandy
A month ago New York and the rest of the East Coast of the United States was struck by the hurricane Sandy. Our hearts go out to the people who had to go through that hell on earth. It was a dreadful disaster, but thankfully, now it’s over.
To mark the first month anniversary, New York skyline was illuminated with a global rainbow. The rainbow was created by the artist Yvette Mattern. The laser installation was located on the the rooftop of the Standard High Line hotel. Seven laser beams, symbolizing the colors of the rainbow, lighted up the night sky of New York and the “Global Rainbow, After the Storm” was projected over the areas most affected by the disaster.
