Chicago-based photographer and animal lover Zielinski bought what is probably the most useless, yet incredibly funny thing on the whole Amazon – Horse Head Squirrel Feeder. “Yep just what it sounds like. We’ve been feeding a few generations of squirrels in the yard and when I saw this I couldn’t resist. Fill the inside with peanuts and hilarity ensues,” says Z.

The internet is falling in love with the latest cute animal Instagram, harlowandsage, run by Harlow and Indiana. Harlow is a beautiful and expressive Weimaraner who seems to love posing and goofing off for the camera. His late friend Sage, a beautifully speckled Dachsund, also used to play in the photos with him, but after Sage’s death due to old age, Harlow was joined by Indiana, an absolutely adorable and goofy young Dachsund puppy.

The platypus is a mystery to many of us because it’s such a wacky animal. It’s a mammal, but it also has a bill like a duck, lays eggs, and uses venom and electrolocation – none of which we’re used to seeing in mammals. This friendly platypus at the Healesville Sanctuary in Australia, however, seems to get along with people just fine, getting belly rubs and being hand-fed snacks.

When illustrator and artist Jenny’s daughter asked to play dress up with her hamster, she knew she had to find a creative solution, because dressing up a hamster wouldn’t really work. That’s when she had an even better idea – cardboard costumes!
